Fall Quarterly Report

GOALS

  1. I will work towards establishing Area Venturing officers in each Area of the Northeast Region.
  2. I will work towards initiating the Area Officers' Orientation Training in the Northeast Region with the purpose of helping Area Venturing officers understand their positions better, further marketing and promotion of the Venturing Program, and to develop communication and leadership across the region.
  3. I will work towards creating a fixed "Key Three" structure for Area Venturing officers in the Northeast Region.
  4. I will work towards continuing the promotion of the Venturing program, Venturing Advancement and Recognition, and Venturing Trainings.
  5. I will work towards motivating Venturers to run for an Area Venturing officer position.
  6. I will work towards motivating Area Venturing officers to run for the Northeast Region Venturing President position.
  7. I will work towards maintaining current members in the Venturing program, while gaining recruits through the excitement and fun within the program.  (We cannot control recruitment, but we can effect it positively.)
  8. I will work towards marketing the Venturing program in non Scouting environments by wearing Venturing activity shirts as everyday clothing.  (Something as simple as a walking billboard can promote an organization and serves as an opportunity to promote the program.)
  9. I will work on promoting communication in the Northeast Region through email, facebook, telephone and through the Northeast Region website.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  1. I planned the Area Venturing Officers' Orientation Training.
  2. I worked on promoting the Northeast Region Venturing website by creating website information sheets and handing them out at events with the permission of the leading community, and listing the website under my name in all emails I send out.
  3. I worked on promoting Venturing Advancement and Recognition through suggesting and explaining the program to Venturers and Advisors.
  4. I wrote letters of recognition for Silver Award recipients in honor of their high achievements in the Venturing program.
  5. I received my Venturing Outdoor Bronze Award.
