Fall Quarterly Report

GOALS

  1. I will increase the support and development of Venturing at the Regional and Area level by helping to develop a Regional VOA/TLC in all four Regions by encouraging the Regional Presidents in developing an Area level VOA/TLC in their Areas.
  2. I will increase the level of communication about Venturing across the nation through direct and indirect methods.
  3. I will help plan programs designed to increase Venturing membership in Councils.
  4. I will help to market the Venturing Program through training and service programs.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  1. I worked with Katelyn Childs, Central Region Venturing President, to train the Central Region Venturing/Sea Scouting Cabinet.  I have encouraged the other Regional Presidents in the development of their Areas and have provided them with resources to help further develop their regional structures.
  2. I have communicated through Facebook, Yahoo Groups, and the National Venturing Youth Cabinet Website with Venturers around the country.  The National Cabinet is currently working to publish the first National Cabinet Electronic Newsletter.
  3. I have attended and promoted Venturing events across the country (traveling over 28,000 miles) and I am working with several councils to develop VOAs/TLCs in their councils.
  4. I have attended several Roundtable meetings and training programs, including two Powder Horn courses, to talk about Venturing Opportunities.
  5. Course directed my second Kodiak Trek.
  6. I have been working with Greater St. Louis Area Council (GSLAC) Director of Public Relations, Joe Mueller, on Venturing Media Releases.
